Locally owned and family-operated, Montana Food Equipment originally started in Helena in 1923 as Hobart Sales and Service. At that time, it was one of the first Hobart locations in the country and Helena had the most millionaires per capita due to the Gold Rush.
Principal owner Levi Caissey is a born-and-bred Montanan. His parents purchased the business in 1991, and Levi took over as owner in 2010. He runs the business with his wife, Kristin, at the company’s office, 10,000-square-foot warehouse, and 6,000-square-foot showroom on Airport Road in Helena. The 17-person staff includes several employees who have worked for the company for over 30 years. While the company was once the exclusive provider of Hobart in western Montana, it has expanded its business to include residential and all brands of commercial food equipment.
We offer CFESA (Commercial Food Equipment Service Association)-certified maintenance and repair, as well as sales of residential and commercial food equipment, serving customers across Montana and northern Idaho. We are licensed by Montana State Weights and Measures and certified by the EPA (Environmental Protection Agency) under Section 608 to ensure our technicians understand the maintenance, service, repair, and disposal of appliances containing regulated refrigerants.
